Description:
Sulfolex Injection is an antimicrobial used to treat bacterial
infections in animals and Poultry. It is a sulfonamide antibiotic
that inhibits bacterial growth by interfering with folic acid
synthesis.
Indications:
Sulfolex Injection is indicated for the treatment of bacterial
infections in livestock, Poultry and companion animals,
including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections
and wound infections.
Side Effects:
Common side effects may include allergic reactions,
gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea and diarrhea and
potential for skin rashes. Rarely, severe reactions such as
anaphylaxis may occur.
Dosage & Administration:
By I.V. Inj., S.C. Inj. or deep I.M. Inj.
6 ml per 10 kg b.wt. as initial dose to be
followed by 3 ml per 10 kg b.wt. as subsequent dose.
Withdrawal Period:
Meat: 21 days, Poultry: 10 days, Milk: 2 days.
Precautions:
Avoid use in animal with impaired liver or kidney functions.
Ensure proper sterilization of injection equipment. Monitor
animals for any adverse reaction following administration.
Store in a cool and dry place.
